when choosing christmas gifts this past winter, the choice became clear to purchase access to experiences rather than the purchasing of things. my mother hoped to see the Jersey Boys, the biographical musical of frankie valli and the four seasons. so, we purchased tickets for her. lucky, she chose to go with me. we spent a wonderful day in downtown san francisco this week, where she had never been. lunch, window shopping, and live theater in an art deco gem. what a treat to share it with my mom.
