My delight-led photographic imagery must not preclude that which is important to others in my family. Son loves karate. He would be at the studio every single day if possible. This is *his* delight, and he is one of mine. :)

The irony is that anyone who knows him knows the gentle soul
 that he is.
Over the Edge: the current fundraiser for Northern California Special Olympics at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco today and tomorrow. These images are all from Husband's camera phone from today's event. He's not actually doing the rappelling but instead is at the top, making sure only those with credentials get roof access. 38 stories. There's a reason I'm not there, but it sure is for a good cause.

Glorious, wild 10-foot-tall sunflowers like these greeted us at several corners as we approached Dolly's 80th birthday party in Chico.
Surrounded by many of her friends and loved ones, the heat did not stop her from thoroughly enjoying her event.
A cupcake and candle for each person in attendance...a group wish-making extravaganza. :)
I love solar flare and homemade entertainment. :)

We love you Dolly!
Toy Story 3 soldiers prepare for landing at an early party for the young man turning 12.
My first cake - and with Lego minifigures.
Coca Cola in bottles. :)
And a local pal. Yay!
Babies. :) Not one, but two. Cousins, just 2 weeks apart, almost 4 months old, and grandbabies to my friend Victoria. There is nothing like photographing these precious little beings. Thanks for coming out to play Kimiko and Serata.

Help from the mommies, who really, make it all possible. Everything's better with mommy.

Warm July nights = tea parties on the back patio by the fountain.

It wasn't until I sat for tea that I took notice of the heart shaped water droplet on these beautiful cherries. How lucky is that? Must have been the company.

Summer means county fair time, which looks a little bit like this...
livestock such as sheep and anghorra goats...
and racing piggies...
cowboy hats... -she's learning that brown is good ;-)...
funny kids in funnier hats...
giggling...
browsing entries such as personal collections...

the mini world of the railroad...

and hopefully a second visit on Wednesday again for $3 entry. :)
